Animal Pak Ad | c. 1996

An example of a print ad prior to my arrival. Prior to the creation of the Marketing Department, Sales often worked with the Art Department to creat ads.

The ad above featured Animal Pak, the product that became the cornerstone of the future Animal brand. In terms of style and substance, this ad was similar to the competition.

Animal Ads | Legacy Label

These are product-specific ads we create (after my first lifestyle campaign but before we redesigned the Animal product packaging). The cans still bear the design created in the early to mid-1990s.

Animal Ads | Iconic Label Introduction

The 2-page print ads like the one above relied on the new product label art. The Iconic ad campaign was designed to introduce the new look Animal products and prevent confusion in the marketplace. Besides echoing the product visually, I wanted the ads to convey a story about each product. In the ad above for Pak, the copy relies on a metaphor. The vehicle is the individual, the Animal, and the tenor is Animal Pak. The last line brings the two together and fuses them into the "one."
