Animal Podcasts

I took a gamble on podcasting as I thought there was a future in them. While I listened to them, I didn't know the first thing about how to publish a podcast. As I've done throughout my career, I took the initiative and learned all I could from books and various resources online. Once done, I began putting a studio together in a small room down the hall from me. I covered the entire space, from floor to ceiling, with sound-dampening insulating blankets. I also purchased the basic minimum equipement, hooked it up, and was ready to go. As this was an experiment, I kept my budget for this project as lean as possible ("less is more"), and set $500 or so for the job. Once done, I faced a bigger challenge. Now what? I approached this problem as I've always done, with creative ideation, the use of particular frameworks and shortcuts, and the like. Soon enough, I began to fill my calendar with athlete interviews and with insiders. We also created a process to measure the success of this experiment, establish some KPIs. Then we were off, publishing on Spotify, Apple iTunes, and Google Play.
